1. Getting Here & Orientation

  • The Black Forest Open Air Museum Vogtsbauernhof is located directly on the B33 between Hausach and Gutach (Schwarzwaldbahn).

    For navigation, please enter: 77793 Gutach, Wählerbrücke

  • There are plenty of parking spaces for cars and buses directly at the museum.

    Price for museum visitors: €4 per day (payment at the museum ticket desk)

    Payment at the parking machine: €6

  • The museum has its own train station, “Gutach Freilichtmuseum”, served hourly by the Ortenau S-Bahn (RB20) between Offenburg and Hornberg during the museum’s opening hours.

    You can also travel from Hausach or Hornberg by S-Bahn. Alternatively, there is a bus connection (RVS) from Hausach to the bus stop “Vogtsbauernhof”.

2. Tickets & Discounts

  • You can purchase vouchers for day tickets or annual passes online.
    These vouchers can be redeemed at the ticket desk on the day of your visit.

    Please note: Vouchers are not date-specific and can be used at any time during the season.

  • Visitors with a disability receive reduced admission:

    Adults: €12.00

    Children and young people (ages 6–17): €5.50

  • Yes, dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash.

    A fee of €0.50 per dog applies.

  • We offer various family day tickets and an affordable family annual pass.

    We accept the Museum Pass and the SchwarzwaldCard.

    The Baden-Württemberg Family Pass is not valid at our museum.

  • Unfortunately, guest cards issued by local accommodations cannot be accepted. 

    We only accept the Museum Pass and the SchwarzwaldCard.

3. Guided Tours & Groups

  • Please request guided tours via our contact form, by email, or by phone at least 14 days before your visit.

  • Every guided tour for groups, children, and school classes begins with a 15-minute introduction to our museum.

  • Yes. We offer free public guided tours in German daily at 2:30 p.m. 
    In August, an additional tour is offered at 11:30 a.m.

    In July and August, we also offer guided tours in English daily at 1 p.m.

4. Food & Drink

    • Kiosk by the Falkenhof
      Small meals such as fries, currywurst, cake, and ice cream.
      Opening hours: 11 a.m.–5 p.m. (last order: 4:30 p.m.)
      The nearby adventure playground allows children to play within sight of their parents.
       
    • Picnic area
      Picnic tables are available for visitors who bring their own food.
       
    • Ortenau Wine Tavern
      Selection of eight regional wines and sparkling wine, cheese platters, sausage salad, tarte flambée, and seasonal specialties such as onion tart and new wine in autumn.
      Opening hours: 11:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (last order: 30 minutes before closing)
       
    • Museum Restaurant Hofengel
      Traditional regional dishes, open daily during the season from 9 a.m.–6 p.m.

5. Services & Facilities

  • Yes, the museum has accessible restrooms.

  • Baby changing tables are located in the accessible restrooms:

    • in the entrance building,
    • on the first floor of the Hermann-Schilli-Haus (No. 10, accessible by elevator),
    • and at the Ortenauhaus (No. 26).

6. Payment & Organization

  • You can pay for your admission:

    • in cash,
    • by debit card,
    • by credit card,
    • or by invoice (for registered groups).
